Majora's Mask Project

Welcome to the
Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask 3D Project By Manulis & SimplexDesigns

This project is aimed at re-creating The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask in minecraft with up to scale voxelized models along with using a resource pack to change some of the blocks to better fit to the needs of the project.

We started the project as of 8/31/2017 and will continue to update this page with updates as we get more done. We want to make it as close to the game as possible but also minecraft-ify it as well. There will be adventure elements added to it once the build is done. Feel free to check out some pictures by visiting our Discord server:

Are you using voxel or doing this by hand?

I rip the N64 models myself and convert the exported files to obj which I can then turn in MC schematics.

It's an easier method of getting things properly sized and getting the exported textures I use for the pack xP

Some call it lazy, I call it detailed. :/

I don't see a big deal in it since many people use programs like Worldedit, MCedit and stuff like Worldpainter.

I call that clever and very innovative! I never would have thought of that.

I use that method with almost all my builds to cut down on time and frustration.

For instance, I'm currently putting the Forest Temple into My OoT 3D save.
Instead of painstakingly working on each room individually, I have the entire dungeon mapped out, along with many other locations.

How do you do that so well? When I try it ends up glitched up.
Although I was trying to do it with GameCube games so maybe that makes a difference.
I couldn't get the models to rip from n64 games.

With Gamecube model files it's more difficult.

With n64 it's easiest to load up your rom (preferably Project 64) using a plugin such as Lemmy's ripping video plugin.

I personally use a plug in I created myself but I don't plan on releasing it yet.
