The Luigi di Savoia Duca degli Abruzzi was a light cruiser of the Duca degli Abruzzi-Class, itself the 5th sub-class of the Condottieri-Class cruisers of the Regia Marina. She was launched in 1936 and completed in 1937 together with her sistership the Giuseppe Garibaldi. She saw extensive service throughout the Second World War both under the Axis powers and later the Allies after the Italian Armistice of 1943. After the War she entered service with the newly founded Marina Militare and underwent extensive modernization in the early 1950s. She was later disarmed and de-commissioned in 1961.
