Keeping with my recent british railroad projects, I present to you my 3:1 recreation of the LNER A1 Class locomotives.
It surely was an interesting engine to make and I hope you will like it as much as I do! The A1 Tornado from The A1 Steam Locomotive Trust in the original light blue paint will follow soon as well as 2 more LNER pacific engines.
Texture pack:
My own: Jf train and raiwlay adapted train pack.

Quick History
The Peppercorn Class A1 was a serires of express passenger steam locomotives that were built by the London and North Eastern Railway between 1948 and 1949. They were design by Arthut Peppercorn who was the last Chief Mechanical Engineer of the company during the early BR days. These locomotives were made to cope with the heaviest passenger trains in the East Coast Main Line, being able to haul trains up to 15 coaches and 550 tons while maintaining a speed of 95 to 110 km/h. The 49 engines had three cylinders and double chimney. After a short work life of just 17 years, all engines were scrapped by the summer of 1966.
In 2008 the 50th engine was built based on the original drawings but that is an history for another time.
