Note: This project is made with version 1.11 and so that is the recommended version because the colors of many blocks were changed with update 1.12. I am unsure if I will ever update it to 1.12 due to the amount of work I'd have to do replacing blocks and the like.

Thank you all for the support you gave me with my release of my download for the midtown section of this same map (you can view that submission here: Manhattan in Minecraft- Midtown Manhattan (DOWNLOAD) )earlier this month (september), it is much appreciated! I have been working on this update for a very, very long time (almost 9 months) and am very happy to finally release it here first, on this special day. It is important to realize the gravity of this event, and I hope that this map acts as a memorial to it. I do plan on releasing a video later on in the week, but I did not have enough time to release it today (September 11), so I'll update the project when I have that ready! Oh and also, sorry if this is pretty late for those in the East Coast and beyond, I have been working on this all day, so i apologize that I couldn't get this out sooner!

JUST AS A WARNING: No, I DID NOT include the twin towers in the map download because their plaza, underground mall, and surrounding buildings were incomplete, and I wanted to release this map as soon as humanly possible. I would not have liked to release them in an incomplete rendition, but I do plan to release them in the next update of Lower Manhattan.

*NEW: Timelapse Video:

This map takes place sometime between 1995 and 1999, not 2001 like my other maps because I wanted to build some older buildings that were demolished in the 90's, but as of now, this map has no definitive year. This area of the map has been worked on in two different periods: First between this map's creation (November 2015) to when it's first video was released (September 2016, can be viewed below) and then between January and August this year, a grand total of at least 20 months. Together, the download for this map, which means not including the buildings that were left out, includes a total of about 272 buildings! (counting is hard...) The tallest building included in the world download would be 70 pine street at a height of 952 feet (290 meters) tall! All in all, this map includes most of Manhattan's Financial District with landmarks like the Trinity Church, Wall Street, 40 Wall Street, New York Stock Exchange, Castle Clinton, and more. These words, though, can not begin to describe how much fun you'll have if you do decide to download this replica!
Download Info
*Important*: Don't try to put the original downloaded file in your saves folder!!! The world download itself is located inside the downloaded folder, along with a help text and a gallery folder with some bonus full resolution pictures!
(These rules are the same rules copy/pasted from my other project entry, so if you've seen them already, you can skip this part):

  1. Please do not claim that you built this map, that is not a nice thing to do because my friends and I all worked hard on it.
  2. If you are making a video on it, please mention the creators (mainly aBitterMelon, but also __Vex and spunod0009 if you want to be really nice :) in the beginning of the video.
  3. Have Fun! I built this map for people to enjoy! If there is anything wrong with it, please comment or message me and I will do my best to fix it!
Also, the spawn for this download is a little inaccurate, so if you spawn and you don't see a sign pointing you to spawn, just look around. Please understand the reason why I didn't include the World Trade Center, and I hope that you can enjoy this map without it! Thanks! By the way, I feel a little bit guilty about using adf.ly, so be safe while using it and don't click anything but the skip ad part. This is the only way I can make some bonus on-the-side benefits from my months spent working.
Old Video
In case you just wanted to see what it was like a little more than a year ago (in case you didn't notice, the new video can be viewed above):

Why are the twin towers here?

Because the map takes place in the 90's. Although the Twin Towers were shown above in the world, the actual download does not include the area of the twin towers because of the reasons mentioned above.

I'm thinking something like the area around Bryant Park in midtown, or greenwich village, which I've already built some buildings in :)

This is absolutely amazing, the amount of detail you include in this makes the renders look the same in the real life counterpart. Really hope you continue on this.

Thanks a whole bunch! This means a lot coming from a talented builder like you, who I also would say uses a ton of details in their work. I will continue this project as long as it's the best I can do, and until better opportunities arise, which is the only reason I have stopped any of my previous projects. Thanks again!
