The CPR Nightclub/Club Creeper
This whole project started a few weeks ago now when I found the designs for a note block beat box by Brenybeast. I've long held a fascination with note block music, and loved the various "rave" videos I've seen on youtube so I figured this would be a great addition to my underground city.
The first thing I decided was, unlike a lot of other "nightclubs" I wanted mine to have some actual functionality built into it, the beatbox would allow actual music to be created, so now I needed practical effects that actually work in game.
What I eventually came up with was a illuminated dance floor, wall mounted strobe lights, a sand wave pyrotechnic show, and two zoo-like mosh pit cages that allow actual creepers to spawn and safely party with the rest of the club goers - all controllable by switches and buttons from the Dj's booth/stage.
The main area of the club where the Dj booth, dance floor and VIP lounge reside are all - though dimly lit by design - immune to mob spawns (except for the enclosed areas along the walls where creepers can safely spawn behind glass). The outside of the club however is mostly unlit except for the entrance, originally this entire structure was embedded in rock and completely underground, however I have created this schematic designed to be placed above ground. You will need a decent sized area of flat land for this structure to sit.
I will undoubtedly continue to tinker with this project, so it is never truly *finished* per se but everything in this version is 100% complete. Feel free to make improvements changes and additions as you like (as a redstone amateur I'm sure my wiring job will scare more advanced users), but please credit me if you choose to make it public.
Mods and Textures (read before downloading):
For the club's various special effects to work you will need a few mods:
Modloader - Self explanatory, required for most mods.
Pistons - This mod is used for the wall mounted "strobe" lights as well as the flaming sand wave. It is also used in the wiring of the dance floors lights, this is arguably the most important mod for the club to function properly. (when 1.7 releases I will update this schematic to use the new piston's)
Better Blocks - This mod is mostly used in the clubs aesthetic elements, without it many blocks used in the design of the club will be missing. however the creeper pits both use the bridge block from this mod in their mechanism and creepers will not spawn without it (due to the pen they initially spawn in being to bright.)
Kaevator Super slopes - Sloped and Angled blocks - This mod is purely used in the clubs aesthetics, however it is used extensively. Nothing will break without this mod but the club will not look the way it was intended to.
Vertical Redstone - This mod is only used for the repeater pulsar loop along the stage, nothing else will break without it and it is the least important of the mods.
Texture Pack - The club was designed around a texture pack I have customized myself. The texture pack is primarily Sanguine 128x128. You do not need this pack to use the schematic but the club will not look properly without it, the biggest changes are listed: Jack-o-lanterns are used extensively in the club, in this texture pack they are normal looking lanterns instead of pumpkins (which will likely look a bit silly). Some wool will be the wrong colors (as I replaced colors I rarely use with new ones). With a little maintenance work this can all be corrected to suit the downloader's texture packs though.
If you decide to download load, let me know how well it works in your world or if anything needs fixing. Pretty sure I've got it as ready-to-go as possible but never hurts to be sure.
