The MV Britannic and MV Georgic were the result of serious financial problems following the great depression, which had previously destroyed any hope of the RMMV Oceanic existing (a larger version of the vessels) They were the last ships of White Star Line. they both served in World War Two, Georgic suffering a fire following a Bombing of the vessel. They both came out of the war however, and when the Georgic was scrapped in 1956, the Britannic was the last of the Line, the last white star ship in service. But in 1960, as fate would have it, she was Scrapped. And so Concluded the tale of the last White Star Liners
