Level 38 : Artisan Dragon
'𝓕𝓪𝓵𝓵𝓮𝓷 𝓓𝓮𝓬𝓸𝓶𝓹𝓸𝓼𝓾𝓻𝓮'

Building Processes:

This particular build was completed with a combination of Voxel Sniper, World Edit and hand-work.

Essentially, the idea of this concept came about through a sketch and inspiration of having a love on mythological beasts.

After building 'Mercy' (another project I have posted on here), I had been wanting to make another female organic for a short while. I found this project the perfect opportunity to combine that wish with my love for mythical beasts.

After essentially figuring out the base, I thought about what other animals and parts I liked to build, and ended up putting it all together into one to make Keraiya.

Is it weird that I have a crush on a Minecraft build.

I love it, you are great at organics!
Nice build
Definitely got a high chance of getting 1st place. The palette is fairly unusual, but you clearly used it in the most efficient manner. Looking closer, the body and wings are fairly rough, but that adds to the realism and the feeling of it. Adding on to this, the body shape is 'very realistic', in many ways.

One problem though (although I should have provided criticism while you could still use it), the terrain does not really seem to fit in. A rougher and larger terrain with larger organics would have added on to the feeling.

Still, won't be surprised at all if this reaches 1st place :P
Thank you very much for taking your time to reply and give me some feedback on my build. :)
I would like to discuss each in a bit of depth.
For the first place comment: I really love the thought that you believe mine could get first place, but alas, Dr_Bond's has got it for sure. ^-^
For the rough comment: The body could use a tidy up, I would say you're correct there, and maybe even the wings in some places; but in some regard, I made the wings rough in purpose to try and go for a more 'feathery' look. :)

For the terrain.base comment: I'm not too sure about this one. I do agree that it could do with a few more organics, which I did intend to make, but I had no time. I started about 3/4 days before the competition ended, and had to juggle that time with university unfortunately. I feel like a rougher/larger terrain could potentially crowd it, but of course, I'm not objected to the idea until it were to be investigated and trialed. It's about 50/50 that something I imagine works and doesn't work. :)
Aight, I see. So my idea for the terrain was this:
I would generally think of a fallen being as someone who is in hiding in a mountain or valley. But obviously, this fallen being was essentially salvaged. But it is still fallen, so I would then imagine a valley with a beautiful scenery that is crowded with exotic plants.

But hey, now that i think about it, that wouldn't exactly fit into the build area kek.
