About Neo-Charlotte

At the dawn of the twenty-second century, America's Queen City has grown into the sprawing technopolis of Neo-Charlotte.

The self-sustaining nature of the city has made it one of the world's most attractive remaining urban centers. Neo-Charlotte gets its power from hydroelectric generators and solar powers; its food from vertical farms within the city walls. Neo-Charlotte is the only city in the U.N.A.S. whose citizens have higher life expectancy, education levels, and median income per year than citizens in the time before The War.

Neo-Charlotte's economy is dominated by the hyper-national corporations that call the city home. These corporations are responsible for most technological innovation and employment in the country. Such gives them massive influence over the Municipal Board of Directors and the U.N.A.S. Fedgov.

About This Project

I started work on Neo-Charlotte way back in December of 2012. I've taken various months-long breaks since then, but I hope to finish this city up this summer. Stay tuned for (hopefully frequent) updates!

Neo-Charlotte's architecture is about 20% modern and 80% futuristic/ultra-modern. Two real-life landmarks from today's Charlotte, NC are present on Tryon Street: the Bank of America Corporate Center and Duke Power Tower. The futuristic architecture is inspired by various sci-fi movies and video games including Mass Effect, Blade Runner, Halo, Dredd, Minority Report, Anno 2070, and Deus Ex: Human Revolution.

Yes, the streets are white pavement with green paint. I think it looks nice and futuristic.
