This map was made based on the assumption people would be allowed to dig in the terrain. Since this is no longer true (READ THE RULES) the map has been updated to reflect this rule.

The terrain height of the base has been lowered. This allows you to build higher.

Hi, I know this is about 3 years late, but I wanted to build stuff on here just for my own satisfaction. I downloaded the map except there are many chunks that didn't load. Can anyone help me with this?

Are we allowed to remove some of the water inside of a building thats below the surface? or just water on top

I'm a terrible builder, so I'm not entering the contest, but I might get the map anyways because it looks nice, and I guess I'll build maybe a few things, but not for the contest. I know, I'm SUCH a rebel.

I don't see the world even though I extracted it in ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/saves/ and it didn't work. If you are a Window's guy, it is equivelent to %appdata%/.minecraft/saves/.

Make sure that you put the folder you extracted into that your saves folder, instead of just putting the contents of the folder there.
