With real-estate prices SOARING, what better time to invest in property than now?
What is it that makes this property so special, you may ask? Well, maybe it's the view. Maybe it's the isolation. Maybe it's the fact that it's made out of 3 giant skulls.
This house of legend contains
1 main bedroom (double bed, storage)
1 kitchen (fridge, bench, sink/taps, stove, storage cupboards)
1 dining room
Multiple lounge/leisure areas
1 wood fire, with exterior smoke funneling
1 extensive, multi-level library
2 bathrooms (2 toilets, one shower)
Plenty of storage area
Large windows, providing that much-loved natural lighting
Airship port for any added accessibility or travel needs (Airship not included in standard price)
Beautiful uninterrupted views of the surrounding pristine neon oceans
A cool flag
All rooms come fully furnished and well lit, without the inconvenience of unpleasant, bulky lighting methods.
Personal building experience (boring part where i talk about the process and thought)
The skulls were all done on the first day of building. Originally the concept only involved one skull, the largest one, however i felt that the concept could be brought further still. Personally i'm glad i made the decision to add onto it. I really wanted to try something different for my first contest entry ever, in an attempt to stand out more. Just crossing my fingers that this isn't straying from the 'dream house' idea too much :s
In terms of colouring I was inspired in part by the wonderful game Hyper Light Drifter, taking into consideration its use of bright, contrasting colours to create a striking visual experience.
Tools used were WorldEdit and VoxelSniper. This was my first time experimenting with creating skulls, and personally i think they're some decent first tries :)
Interior has always managed to be an enemy of mine, which i've struggled to work on a lot. I still am far from where i want to e with it, but i reckon this was a good practical learning experience.
This build was completed in a private world on the Museum creative server at mc.shadowkingdom.org
If you want to come and check the build out yourself, jump onto the museum server (type /museum) and /warp Olskjor.
Any and all are more than welcome, even to just come and chill :)

Chapter I: Olskjor the Fool // Beasts of Wrath
Fire met steel as claw and tooth sought to devour the flesh of those who stand to oppose them. Time, seemingly nothing to them, carried them through the ages unchallenged. The bones of fallen men and women littered the ground on which they walk, crumbs of their endless feast, their hunger ever longing to be sated.
One lone warrior, Olskjar the Fool, sought to end the tyrrany of the beast overlords, earning him his title. Travelling far and beyond the realm of man, he challenged the beasts.
Chapter II: Olskjor the Slayer // Fall of the Kings
Animals of destruction. Bringers of death. The monsters towered above Olskjor like monolothic creations from hell itself. They snarled and growled like thunder in his ears, as their teeth the size of mountains bared their form, partnered with a sickly stench of rot. The creatures laughed at his challenge, sure of their might in the face of a mere man.
A great light pierced the scene as Olskjor unsheathed his sword from his belt, revealing a blade unlike any the beasts had encountered. A weapon straight from the gods themselves, forged in hell-fire, imbued with the holy power unimaginable in its beauty. A gift from the gods.
Through blood and sweat, Olskjor fought the beasts for what felt like an eternity, challenging each in turn, striking them down with his blade until nothing remained but a heap of monstrous bodies
Chapter III: Olskjor the Lone
Situated in the middle of a crystaline neon ocean, far from the eye of man, Olskjor resides in his abode carved from the skulls of beasts long since destroyed. The battle-worn warrior, tired from millennia of combat, has spent the past few hundred years resting inside of his dream island home, isolated from the world in his dream house. Brittled by old age, time stalks him like a wolf, hungering for the final sweep. He seeks to pass his home on to another owner.
Only the finest of warrior may be worthy of inhabiting the house of legend.
Could you be that warrior?
