How long does the end phase take? Me and my friends have been on it for 3 days and still have not gotten to an end portal, we got a skulker box with ender eyes( and various other skulkers) but that's the closest to the portal that we have gotten. Do we just keep mining or is there something else to do?

Sorry, this isn't a bug or anything, but I wanted to know if there is a way to choose phases. I mean, I'm already going through infinity and I wanted to go back to lvl 1 because a friend joined me. It's possible?
