Osgiliath: About 600x600 in size, with custom terrain and over 200 original buildings.

Osgiliath took us about 4+ months to create, and was built by the EpicQuestz and Empire War build teams. (Mainly during several build days)

A massive thanks to Only_God, who lead the building of the project and build most important buildings, like the Dome. He deserves a lot more subscribers on his PMC page.

Features:
- Over 180 original builldings
- Dome of the Stars
- Citadel of Gondor
- Barracks
- Theater
- Bazaar
- Memorial square
- Dozens of parks
- City Hall
- Shipping areas
- Memorial statues all over the city
- A massive river that is about 200 blocks wide
- Smaller rivers feeding into the large one
- Terrain for a very wide area around Osgiliath
- The Great City Wall
- The 4 Gates
- Some hidden easter eggs :)

Here you can see the city from above, to give you an idea of its size

Some more high quality renders

Actually coming to think of it, I like the greyness of the map because it makes the few colors pop out a lot!

Few people are obsessed with LOTR enough to know this, but...

Osgiliath (I think in the Dome of Stars) is the resting place of one of the Palantiri. This one, however, was one of the "base stones" (not a small one like in Minas Arnor, Minas Ithil, Isengard, or on the west coast of Middle Earth) and and was closer to about 2 meters in diameter.
Wow I've always wanted an osgiliath map but I could never find one thanks!
Download doesn't work... :(

First off, this is absolutely fantastic! I've seen a lot of people saying, they would like more color: minecraft 1.8 has banners, so maybe you could make an updated version featuring banners...

We tried to use colour for the markets and by adding plants, but we
wanted to make the city give a very ruinic and old stone feel, because
of it falling in ruin later on.

Great build, but the shaders in your video are really messed up... It seems that as you draw towards buildings, they change from bright yellow, to the normal color of stone brick. I thought it was evolving sandstone for a moment, but then I realized it was your shaders.

Regardless, fantastic build! I look forward to seeing what you come up with in the future.

Most of the shaders act this way, that's because showing shaders at every distance can cause a massive amount of lag, so it only effects stuff near you.

Would have been a whole lot better with a resource pack that had greater contrast between certain stone textures, but the size of the build does play a role. Great job, and I hope to see more from you in the near future.

I think I like the way everything blends together, but it does give it a very old and ruined feel.
This is of course what we want for the ruined version (that btw, will be released in a couple of months, when done)

We tried to use a lot of vegetation and markets to bring more colour to the map, which is also done by torches, but that's not visible with the renders.
