Oslo Opera House
The Oslo opera house is an iconic building located in Bjørvika, at the new waterfront of Oslo. The Norwegian architecture firm Snøhetta won the contest for the new opera house in Oslo. The design they had was inspired by a glacier. As you can see the roof goes down to the water in different angles and slopes. This allowed people to interact with the roof and walk on it. This has made the building an iconic place for tourists.
As part of the new Bjørvika development, to rebuild the waterfront they began with the Opera in 2003, and it stood complete in 2008.
