Palacio Municipal (Municipal Palace) or Cabildo (Town Hall) was the former town hall of Lima, today replaced by the large Palacio Municipal from the 20th century in neo colonial style.
The historic town hall was built originally in 1549 as one of the earliest buildings in Lima in 1555 it was ready to use. It was rebuilt multiple times over the time until its destruction to be replaced with the current building.
