Best project of Paper Mario: TTYD in all of the Minecraft world!

Alot of you have played the 2004 game for the gamecube Paper Mario: The thousand year door or atleast heard of it. Well this project will recreate the entire map of the game in Minecraft! It will have every city, minigame, and room in the game! It will also be an adventure map where you can play just like in the game with all the battles, puzzles and powerups. This will be pure vanilla meaning no mods or bukkit needed! Plus it can be played with friends!

Update #10 : by hockeymikey 11/06/2014 8:03:53 pmNov 6th, 2014

Finally got around to adding automatic backups and new download page.  Development has been alittle slower due to builders being busy.

This is a beautiful map. I love it. However, the one I have been working on for a few weeks now will be more realistic and have more command blocks. Objects in the map may not be as large or detailed as this one because you have the objects too large. I am focusing on accuracy, whereas you are focusing on detail.

Again, beautiful map!!

I know you don't have an accurate map because I have a way to see the areas from all angles. Everything I make is highly accurate to the game, and I'm already done with 17% of the map. Your map beats mine in beauty tho :)

That is where you are wrong kiddo. The accuracy is about as precise as you can get in Minecraft with conventional methods. There is going to be an "inaccuracy" due to the 1m x 1m block limitation of Minecraft either by some things being sized slightly larger or by removing details. Either way you are losing accuracy. I'm sure there are things we could improve in some way, perfection is an endless road, but I'd say we are batting .400. We are still planning on more command blocks and a more functional scope to the current static sceneic map. We have a texturepack too that adds a bunch.

You seem to have a good drive and an eye for detail from your comment. If my suspicions are proved correct, love to have you on board with us.

I have already completed all of chapter 6 and Rogueport on my map. The reason I don't really want to help you guys is because it is pretty clear that you don't use an emulator with the camera freelook feature. If you did, you would notice just how inaccurate most of the areas are. I'm creating a legit world where each area is actually in the correct spot in the world, not just some random location. You will literally be able to see Poshley Heights from Rogueport for instance, or Keelhaul Key way off in the distance as well. And each house, etc, is looked at from every angle using the freelook feature to assure the best accuracy possible in Minecraft. For instance, your hotel in Poshley Heights is VERY inaccurate. It is not tall enough, it is not diagonal as it should be, and the windows don't match at all. But without freelook, you would not be able to see that. Same with Poshley Sanctum. I built the inside of the Sanctum underground because it's too big. And lastly, I made this account a long time ago, I'm not actually a kid anymore lol.

Camera freelook wouldn't help much with the map. Having a good eye negates the need for it in many cases and I am confident the quality here is perfectly fine. Thanks for the tip in Ch.6, I'll be sure to have a look at those. "Actually in the correct spot" doesn't mean much because the ingame map isn't scaled and the position of each area is something so easily changed it's not worth mentioning. Plus you have to take into account how you're going to structure the outofbounds areas which can be taken a few different ways. We are currently doing a straight background more indicative of the visuals in game but that can be changed easy enough. You don't want to help because you're a cocky kid that wants to do his own thing.

I'm not a kid, I'm almost 21. Anyways. I don't want to help because I do not approve of how your map is being done. My siblings and I have a way of doing it that we think is better.
