This is an alien/futuristic structure, a kind of a small temple. The whole thing is actually a path that leads to a magical book...

People generally think your builds in Minecraft must be colorful and built of many kinds of material. Well I tried to bust the myth with this build - it's entirely made of smooth stone with a little bit of stone slabs, glow stones, water and some nature stuff like reeds. The idea is as follows: What really matters is the shape, not the material or colors. Colorful builds are cheap.

It may be the kind of style I'd like to use for another bigger build in the future.

I built it on Pwego Server

Thanks :) I'm not sure if I have seen it before. But I quite doubt that I invented it :D

Fantastic build!

I luv the colors chosen, and tp fits it as well, gj.

Thanks! ^_^
Yeah a kinda wasteful one (and with no bookshelves!) :D
Pity, the build doesn't exist anymore. It was built on a server that is dead now and even if it wasn't , the build would be removed anyway since it was just in the guest plot world...

what a shame :s
deserves to be rebuilt :)

and hmm.. wastefull... dunno... I like it! It is the best part of it imo :D
as Foxy before said: minimalism /ftw :)
One would await some ultra epic thing to be inside, and bam.. "just" an enchanting table for basic levels, it is like it would be a temple for worshiping the worth of the enchanting itself :)

Haha yeah kind of. I mean I have nothing against really huge builds, they are awesome. But they don't really have to consist of tens different kinds of blocks making some "epic" patterns etc. to impress me. You can use like 1 or 2 main materials plus like 2 or 3 or so other blocks in small extent, and if you give the build an interesting shape, it can be just great. People should appreciate the shape of the structure rather than the combination of materials it's built off because the materials look the way the texture does which is what a texturer should get the credit for rather than the builder. While the shape of the build is entirely the builder's credit :)

"People generally think your builds in Minecraft must be colorful and built of many kinds of material."
That what I think, most of them cannot leave the sheep way of builds and some "ufo shape" come and cannot receive attention from them because it's a really far away shape.
GG for your work. I'm a futuristic shaper too and I use the water shape and clay for my constructions, something really new for minecraft builds (ie : water table, water walls).

Hi, yeah seems like people are just not mentally ready for such a way of building. They like stereotypes, so it seems to me. Thanks for your comment :)
