Petel-class dropship

The Petel-class was an atmospheric dropship designed by Tuc'al Tith in the Aunuc Unity as a small troop transport and infantry-support craft that could be used by both the military and law enforcement. The ship was equipped with a 201BN light laser cannon at the front to hit armor and hostile emplacements and two 40-562d light laser cannons that folded out from the passenger compartment through aft doors and could be crewed by passengers, used by the copilot, or autonomously function in a limited capacity. The Petel-class could be sealed for flight in the upper atmosphere, but lacked sufficient life support and the ion thrusters needed for full spaceflight. The craft was relatively successful among police organizations but did not see significant adoption by the military, as it lacked the capabilities of proper space-based transports and strike craft.
