I decided to build this giant statue in a cool extreme hills biome after watching the trailer of an indie game named Reus.
Planted some pine trees around. Why don't they put pine trees in mountains anyway?
The giant is supposed to be made of lava with a solid stone crust.

This build is not totally legitimate as I have used a flying mod to shape the arms and the head.
I could have done it without cheating, but it would have taken so much time and would have been so awkward that I probably would have quit.
The legs and body are legit, though.

Now that you have reached our Nether hub, look at the gates on the East wall. One of them should be labelled "To the Stone Guardian". Take the left portal to get to the statue or the right portal to view it from a distance.
Maintenance shafts can be accessed from under each hand and under the left foot of the statue.

By the way, have a look at the other gates in the Nether hub, you might find other interesting stuff to visit, like a Hobbit hole, a flying sailship and so on.
