The PippinBukkit server is a private (whitelisted) CraftBukkit server.
We are playing on medium difficulty.
All builds are created legitimately in survival! No creative mode, no plug-ins.

Texture pack used: Sphax PureBDCraft 64x (bdcraft.net)

I decided to build this giant statue in a cool extreme hills biome after watching the trailer of an indie game named Reus.
Planted some pine trees around. Why don't they put pine trees in mountains anyway?
The giant is supposed to be made of lava with a solid stone crust.

Additional Notes

Important note!
This build is not totally legitimate as I have used a flying mod to shape the arms and the head.
I could have done it without cheating, but it would have taken so much time and would have been so awkward that I probably would have quit.

The legs and body are legit, though.
Progress100% complete

Starting at the spawn area next to the tower with the rings in the sky, get through the portal that is hovering above the sea, surrounded with obsidian monolyths.
Now that you have reached our Nether hub, look at the gates on the East wall. One of them should be labelled "To the Stone Guardian". Take the left portal to get to the statue or the right portal to view it from a distance.
Maintenance shafts can be accessed from under each hand and under the left foot of the statue.
Hope that helps! :)
By the way, have a look at the other gates in the Nether hub, you might find other interesting stuff to visit, like a Hobbit hole, a flying sailship and so on.
Have fun! ;)
Wow! Thanks man.. Really nice builds !

Thanks a lot :)
Sure took a lot of time and efforts, as most of it was done legitimately in survival mode.

I'm afraid not at the moment.
This build is on our private server PippinBukkit. Only the members are currently allowed to download a copy of the world.
I suppose I could make a schematic of the build, but I'm not too familiar with MCEdit.
I'll keep you posted. ;)

Just wanted to let you know I've uploaded a schematic file of the build. If you're somewhat familiar with MCEdit, you could paste it in an existing world.
Keep in mind that the access ladders in the arms and left foot don't have a door. If you want to climb inside, you need to provide an underground access to the embedded shafts. ;)
Have fun!
