That weirdness is most certainly notο»Ώ a bad thing; I like the fact you thought of the kraken being there to protect the island at all, and adding in a magical trident attempting to freeze the island adds onto that. That's a really cool idea and adds to the originality of the piece. That weirdness is something to appreciate.
