As @LePosadilla stated, making the balloon or the ship bigger wasn't a very good idea. We know making it bigger might of given us the chance of giving it a more convincing ship, but we wanted to focus on the island, and therefore didn't want to make a ship that could end up being bigger than the island, wich in itself is already quite minimalistic.

In my humble opinion, i think to make the balloon bigger would be a bit excessive because of  the size of the ship. But maybe you´re right :)
