Welcome to the Marden region!
Marden is a region known for its memorable landscapes. It's one of the most popular touristic regions in the Pokémon world, attracting every kind of tourist, from simple workers to some of the most powerful and well-known trainers across the globe. Maybe some of those tourists' faces will be familiar to you?
Along with those qualities, Marden also has another special feature: you. You've been raised in a small town of that region, called Waterlil Lake, which has been the leisure spot of rich tourists, who rent the villas and yachts in the area. However, due to the competition from other cities, that happen to be more accessible, Waterlil is going through a tough time financially. One of the richer residents of the town hatched a plan to save Waterlil, which involves giving you your first Pokémon and going on a journey. How will your journey help Waterlil? Will you even be able to help them?

Completely new adventure:
From a brand new region with amazing builds, to a completely original story with charming humor, and twists that completely subvert your expectations from a Pokémon game, Obscure Obsidian does everything they can in their base experience to give a refreshing approach to a Pokémon Journey, while still being loyal to the roots of what make you fall in love with the games in the first place.
Difficulties:
There's a good chance that this isn't your first Pokémon game. In fact, you might've been playing the series for years, and started to find the games too easy. If this describes you, do not worry! We've added a hard mode to the map, which is going to give a challenge to the series veterans, while also keeping a normal mode, for people who are satisfied with the easier difficulty offered by the main games.
Music System Overhaul:
One of the things that make the Pokémon games so immersive is their use of music. Like other projects have done before, we've put music that changes based on which areas you're in. Each route and town has their own unique theme! However we’re not satisfied with implementing something as good as other servers, so the music system has been pushed even further! Battles are also going to have their own themes, with different themes for trainer and wild battles. You might even see more music transitions that are normally seen in the Pokémon games, but aren't seen in Pixelmon.
Customization items:
Have you ever wanted to wear a Ludicolo hat? No? Perhaps you've always wanted a Shaymin on your shoulder! Even if you've never wanted either, there's probably something that you've always wanted to wear that's on the server, since with the use of the Armourer's Workshop mod, we can make just about anything a customizable item! Perhaps there's something that you really want, but isn't on the server? Feel free to create it if you're able to! We're completely open to taking item submissions from people and giving them access to them!
Pokéhelper:
This little gadget is going to be one of your most useful tools on the map: from showing you the tutorials for the various mechanics of the map, to information on the different areas you've visited, to changing settings for different options of the map, between difficulty to which theme you'll listen for regular wild and trainer battles, to a backpack that can contain everything you need it to, the Pokéhelper is going to be your best friend, after the Pokémon accompanying you on your journey.

We have 2 people experienced with programming who are constantly adding features for Pixelmon Obscure Obsidian, and while great things are planned in the future, we prefer to only talk about what's already been accomplished.
