Precipice Isle - Survival World
This is a custom-built island made from scratch (a flat water world), constructed solely for survival, and for a contest posted in the forums. So far, this guy doesn't have any entries other than myself, so I'll put the link to his contest post in attempt to invite anyone who wishes to build an island for the competition. Hopefully I could convince him to push the due date a bit further to allow you guys to participate in time. In the meantime, you can enjoy this map in the download link and schematic included. Challenges are also included in the list below.

FUN FACT: Precipice is defined often as a very steep cliff. In fact, there is a noticaeably steep cliff at one side of the island (opposite the beach). The way this island is formed is that it is located at the interface between two tectonic plates - one of which is pushing down the other under - a.k.a constructive earthquakes - which results in exposing rock and minerals to form the island known as Precipice Isle. (this is similar to how volcanoes are created and made to erupt near the coastline)

Features:
- A long, fairly flat beachline
- A large collection of jungle, oak and birch trees
- A large cavern exposing the ores required for survival
- A tiny sand island off the coast, anything significant about it?
- Two landlocked lakes connected by a cascade, pretty good scenery amongst the forest!
- Two plains biomes around the edge of the island for animal spawning
Challenges:
- Craft a full diamond armour and tool set (including a hoe)
- Enchant one tool at level 30
- Find the four diamond-marked trees around the island
- Create a farm containing every vegetable possible (some seeds are hidden)
