Welcome to Project Byzantium, my current mega project which ambitiously aims to recreate the entire city of Constantinople (modern Istanbul) as it was around 1180 A.D, upon the death of Emperor Manuel I Komnenos. The scale I will be following is 1:1, i.e 1 block = 1 meter.
The first and current phase of the project will involve building every major monument/church in the city in their pristine condition (for now).
This project has been under construction on and off since 2015

I will very likely update it some time next year though. Since this current page represents an older world which is severely outdated.
Well, the Great Palace shown in this post is terribly outdated, the way I've built it now looks nothing like it did then and is much more accurate.
I can't upload the whole thing quite yet, because a) It's not done yet and 2) I'm can't show it yet for NDA-related reasons which should be over by the end of the year.
However, I am going to upload a piece of the Great Palace in the coming days (working on the finishing touches for the map as we speak), so you can keep an eye out for that pretty soon :)
