Updated map again, version 3. Much longer railway, new towns, more details to the track and industry, new pictures.

IMPORTIANT! The map itself is not made by me. It was downloaded, and one part made by the skilled terraformer named TheMcVikings. I got permisson from him to use the map, and make a railway on it for the Rails of War mod. The other is made by CI3minou. All the credit for the terrain goes to them. I have made the railway, and every other "man made" structures like towns, cities, factories and so on.

Hello there. As the railwayenthuciast that I am, I must say that I got realy pleaced when I found the Rails of War mod over a year ago. I have had alot of fun with it, making all kinds of railways. Even so the mod is far from finished, and still lacks a few things, it is one of the best mods I have ever played. I have always loved the railways here in my homecountry Norway, even if therailways are old and maybee not so functional anymore. But they have been built in such a magnificent way, witch just looks incredible. It turns and bends arround every hill and mountain. Crowls alongside narrow fjords, and down the steep mountains. So this is what I wanted to recreate in this map. I feel that I got some of the "norwegian feel" to the railway, wich is the reason that I used this terrain by TheMcVikings.

I have used the mod for a while, but rearly found a downloadable map for it. So I desided that I might aswell share mine. I bet that most of you who reads this is the other fans off the mod, and already knows whats its about. If not, then I recomend to check it out.

There might be some problems with the map though. If you use Don's branch of the mod, some problems might occur. I have not yet made a version of the map using that mod. You might have to place down the rails yourself if they are bugged.

WARNING: In the new version I have added a whole new area with snow. This was simply just put in there with MCEdit. Therefore it will look absolutely ridiculous if you fly over the area. But sins this is a railway map, and you are suposed to go by train and on the rails, it is no problem. I have made it look OK around the rails, so you will not see anything wrong around the rails. But if you starts to fly around on the map, thing will look silly where the terrain meets.

And a map that shows almost the entire line. Some of it is missinf though, with means that the railway is even longer.

Things along the map:
1: Paper Mill. 2: Town with fishing facilities. 3: Industri-area. 4: Town with (eventually) a small harbour. 5: Lumber yard. 6: Larger town/city. 7: Trainstation on the plateau. 8: City with harbour. 9: (Off the main line/sidetrack) hydropowerplant (and it will have a factory of some sort later on).

VERSION 3, THE NEWEST UPDATE:

In this update, the rails extend even further, across a large bridge, onto a whole new island. New towns and cities, aswell as industries are located here, and can be traveled to.
