Greetings from Rapture !

I'm Willym, a french player of minecraft. I'm working on the city "Rapture" from the marvelous game Biochock.
From the task to accomplish, I look for volunteers or just help to make "The Greatest Rapture".

I will create all the places in Bioshock 1,2 and "Burial at sea". But 60% of the city will be to imagine by ourselves.


The project started years ago when I've recovered a little part of the project of "RSA" and made, with worldpainter, the seabed where the city is built. By now I'm working seperatly on each location of the games.

Each location will be find as seperate project on my account. The version of those projects will evolve through time. For example:
  • A 1.0 version indicates that the map includes only the place present in the Bioshock level;
  • A 2.0 version indicates a modification or extension of the first version (canon places added);
  • A 3.0 version indicates that the map has been extended with non-canon places.
Last but not least, the terms "connected" or "not connected" mean that the map built in a seperate PMC project, is not yet included in the global map project. It will be a future task to achieve.

Places to build :

From Bioshock 1 :

  • - The Welcome Center: a recreational area which used to welcome Rapture's newcomers. (80%) V2.0 connected
  • - Neptune's Bounty: The fishing district and port in Rapture, also formerly a cover for Franck Fontaine's smuggling operations. (90%) V1.0
  • - Smugglers Hideout: The base of Fontaine's illicit smuggling activities in Neptune's Bounty. (95%) V1.0
  • - Arcadia: An experimental forest and botanical garden in Rapture, supplying the city's oxygen. (80%) V1.0
  • - Farmers Market: A large market for Rapture's citizens to buy goods and produce directly from the vendors. The multiplayer map is also included (80%) v2.0
  • - Fort Frolic: Rapture's entertainment center, presided over by the insane Sander Cohen, Andrew Ryan's favored artist. (5%)
  • - Hephaestus: Site of a geothermal power plant and workshops, also the entrance to Ryan's office. (15%)
  • - Andrew Ryan's office: from which he oversees the administration of Ryan Industries and his city. (0%)
  • - Mercury suit: The war-ravaged luxury apartments of Rapture, where only the richest of the rich could afford to live. (0%)
  • - Apollo Square: Rapture's lower class housing district turned internment camp as a result of the Civil War. (0%)
  • - Point prometheus: A scientific research facility where Little Sisters and Big Daddies were created in secret. (5%)
  • - Proving ground : A museum converted into an assault course where Big Daddies trained to protect their Little Sisters. (5%)

  • - Fontaine's lair : The tallest point in Rapture, and the location of BioShock's finale. (10%)

  • Firing Range (70%) v1.0 not connected
  • Canival (0%)
  • Museum (90%) v1.0 not connected

Hello everyone.

As you've might already seen, in the last year the Neptune Bounty and the Smuggler's Hideout game level have been built.

By the way, we changed twice of Minecraft's version, passing from 1.12.2 to 1.19.3. It allows us to have new blocks to build with and convert a fraction of this new blocks into more textures from Bioshock game.

Some news about the ongoing progresses :
- The Arcadia game level is almost done. It remains to build non-game locations and enhance some places. Soon a dedicated project will be published.
- The farmer's Market is under construction. The multiplayer Farmer's Market map (from BS2) will be added next to it. That's why, the percentage on it is passed from 100% to 20%.


The link between these two areas (from Smuggler's Hideout) is still questionning us. It's not easy to place all the levels on a single map. Two options are possible :
- Arcadia is next to smugglers' hideout and so Neptune Bounty ;
- Arcadia is at the opposite of Rapture from Smugglers' Hideout point of view, and a tunnel needs to be built between the two areas.
