This is mine and sneakyrats game of redstone battleship. This is the miniature prototype.
It has a 3x3 screen and has a very simple anti-cheat function for the battleship selections.

I am currently working on Battleship 2.0 which has many many functions. It is currently 80% complete and is over 500 blocks long.

hey guys, i like your guys' work alot but i think you guys overcomplicated alot. if you go on my profile youll see i have one that i posted a couple months ago. Since then i finished on single player but basically to me it just seems over complicated.

Battleship 1.0 has a lot of wasted space. But it was made as a proof-of-concept. As far as complexity goes, it requires a complex game engine. and wrapping logic to act as anti-cheat functions.

Battleship 2.0 uses a fully re-designed game engine, and integrates significantly more logic and auto-functions. We have halted the 2.0 project in light of our current designs. Which are smaller, and faster, but more complex.
Will post 2.0 here and will start posting 3.0 devices as well.

i Actually Want to make one of these, It looks really fun to build!
Now attempting with your lever system, Im going to use adders to select the positions :D

What is it you are trying to achieve? Battleship 2.0 is almost complete. I am going to start work on developing an AI for battleship 3.0 in a few weeks.

oh!! Alrighty :)

what lever system are you trying? You can convert the elvers to buttons with the use of RS-NOR's , TFF's don't really work well or this :)

If you manage to develop some cool logic for it, come join us on RDF and I'll be glad for you to help.

I was going to try to use T flip flops, But I cant find a design thats 2x2 and tileable, Ive been working on it though, And I actually Basically have the whole thing build, its just a matter of hooking everything up, thats just the 10x10 screen with 2x2 tileable d flip flops behind, the 1 - 10 select which vertical row is selected, then the A-J select the horizontal row, And about joining the RDF. I dont think I would be able to qualify :(
