Hey Guys!
Due to the fact I do parkour in real life, I wanted to make it more realistic in Minecraft. Do you want to improve your Minecraft Parkour skills or just experience some interesting concepts in vanilla Minecraft? Then this is the map for you!
About the map
This is just a map for showing off some concepts, which include Parkour mechanics, checkpoints and storytelling. There is a guided tutorial on the Parkour mechanics, after that you can go into the free-roaming area, where there isn’t a goal. Nevertheless you can use it to train your minecraft parkour skills.
Making of the mechanics
I made the “hanging from bars” and the wall runs in the 1.9 snapshots to teach myself how to use the /execute command. That’s why it mainly uses simple detection and block placing. I might create a tutorial on these things, so stay tuned for that!
In the last weeks I added some other mechanics to publish these mechanics, like the story-telling/ guided tutorial and the checkpoint/ anti-cheat mechanics, which became more and more a main part of the map. I will make a tutorial on stuff like that, too. If you’re interested in this, make sure to subscribe!
