Your donation will directly support the lives of Nepalis affected by the recent earthquake that has devastated Nepal. In our hearts we know that Nepal has the will to rebuild. There is no country in the world as resilient and as incredible as Nepal.

With a long-standing commitment to Nepal, we are dedicated to supporting the people and communities that we know and trust. Our intimate relationships with many of Nepal’s rural communities puts us in a unique position to distribute direct aid both in an effective and culturally sensitive way. With news about this catastrophe worsening each day, we know—as do the people of the Nepal—that this struggle is far from over.

To begin, we have chosen four grassroots groups through which we will disseminate funds. With a long term vision of support to those people most in need, the Pureland Project is teaming with other American and Nepali individuals & organizations to best provide direct aid. Collected funds will be used both for short-term and long-term support with the priorities of providing clean water, temporary shelter, food, health services, along with support in the rebuilding efforts of houses, schools, community structures & temples. If you have a preference, please specify where you want to see your funds directed by adding this info on the “Address Line 2” of the Pay Pal Form.

1) Indreni Children’s Home, an orphanage in Kathmandu, cares for children without homes.

2) Bhorjyang is a village in Kabhre Palanchok district. Most structures are damaged or destroyed. No attention is being given from the Nepal government or international aid agencies.

3) Shiva Ram Katiwada, a volunteer Doctor in the Dhading District Hospital, is gathering a team to aid remote villages in his home district, Sindhupalchowk. Sindhupalchowk is near the epicenter of the earthquake and has been devastated. Nearly all buildings have collapsed and villagers have seen no support from the government or international aid organizations. In Shiva’s words, “[Even] with joint efforts between the Nepali government and international aid organizations… there are still far too many people without aid of any kind. Any amount of money you can give will not be enough—but we can certainly put to good use any support you can give.”

4) Simigaaun, a remote Sherpa and Tamang village in the Dolakha district, is isolated and positioned high on a steep mountainside. Not a single structure in this village is left standing: homes, schools and temples have all been completely destroyed. Landslide conditions worsen as rains continue. Margie and Mike Donahue, two Americans who have lived and worked with Simigaaun for over 40 years, have built invaluable relationships with Simigaaun and neighboring communities. They are focused on distributing both short- and long-term emergency relief in these remote, devastated communities that are completely cut off from aid at large.

Currently, much of Nepal is isolated without access to water and electricity. Earthquake aftershocks continue at present and are forecasted to continue. Phone communication is very difficult. Many roads are destroyed. Local government and international aid organizations have been slow to respond in rural areas even close to the capital city. Both looting and disease are spreading in Kathmandu. Dead bodies are abound in and outside of buildings. Food prices have sky rocketed. People are fleeing Kathmandu by the tens of thousands.

Please know that The Pureland Project is dedicated to transparency in its use of funds. Please contact us if you have questions regarding the names of individuals and organizations we support. This project is being coordinated by several Americans who each spent 1-6 years living in Nepal & Tibet and are in direct communication with both Nepalis and Americans in Nepal. If you have strong ties to a certain village or community, listed or not listed above, and you would like your contribution to be specifically directed, please make sure to mark that down with your contribution.

Just curious, but did you actually read the description about "pureland" or just commented straight ahead after a few good pictures of this project and moved ahead?

Do you think it's possible to read every description of every project every day?  With that in mind, what do you think the answer is?  :P

Giving the title's name "Charity Let's Build ~ The Pureland Project" gives some clues. Not to mention the "The Pureland project" banner in the description standing out.

In short, you can skim through the description, in this case with the banner & title it should be clear.

I asked you this because of the aim of this project in combination with my doubts on your (commendable) strategy of diamonding + commenting for an army of subscribers (insert your life goal "Wolrd domination 0_0".

Naw, I'm mostly just concerned with content.  I'm just looking for builds that I can feature on WiR.  I've been doing this a long time; I'm not really concerned with descriptions anymore.  Browsing has become a sort of 'highway hypnosis' for me.

I was curious about it since there were some pretty clear signs of it. In short, just a little annoying test of mine.
