Hi there!

Welcome to my recreation of the Parkour Warrior Map from Minecraft Championship No. 6! (Minecraft Version 1.15.2)

EDIT CONCERNING MCC 9:

"Thou shalt get me French Fries" has remade the MCC 9 Parkour for Pocket Edition, here is the video Link:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HJACqsaS-Vk
"Joshua Zhong" as remade the MCC 9 Parkour for Java Edition, here is the video Link:

More infos are in the video descriptions (yes, youtube has video descriptions where you can often find additional information!)

Story (skip if you don't want to read)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I had the idea of making this after I was done watching the newest Minecraft Championship tournament from CaptainSparklez's view, from Dream's view and lastly from petezahutt's view. After initially being annoyed at Jardon failing some jumps over and over and then seeing Dream and Petezahutt seemingly flying through the parkour, I thought to myself: This can't be that hard, right? (WRONG)

So I searched the internet for the map, but to my surprise there was no playable version. I heard that there is a whitelisted exact replica on Minecraft Realms, but since I don't have Realms, I just decided to make my own version of it by watching the livestreams and copying the parkour frame by frame. Obviously, this means the my version is NOT identical to the original version, and I do not claim for it to be.

Originally, I only intended only to copy the jumps because I wanted to try out the parkour myself. However, this quickly turned into also copying the islands and stuff since only building the jumps looks too boring :(. This way, it sort of feels like you yourself are a live contestant in the actual tournament. However, the surroundings are still incomplete and I do not intend to ever completing it, as it is very hard to gather every last detail from the available video footage alone. I am happy the way it turned out to be and if you would like to, you can continue on the basis of what I already built.

I enabled cheats and also added buttons for switching between creative mode and adventure mode, because as I mentioned before I built this for practising the jumps. For example in creative mode, you can add your own checkpoints by building plattforms below jumps you may find especially hard to do.

It took me about 16h to finish this build, maybe 13h for the parkour and 3h for the checkpoint system. And yes, I included actual checkpoints at the same islands as in the original tournament, because it turns out I will never even come close to doing the whole thing in a single attempt.
Edit: The building times are outdated and only refer to the very first version I uploaded. The total build time is probably around 5 days at this point.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Story End

I do not have permission (if required) from Noxcrew to upload this map. So Noxcrew, if you are reading this and you don't want my copied version of your Parkour Warrior map to be freely accessible, I am very sorry. Please leave a comment below and I will remove my map.

And before someone might ask, I do not understand a thing about servers or multiplayer, so I designed this map for singleplayer only. If you run a server with this map, I can not guarantee that the checkpoint system (or anything using command blocks really) will still work.

Ok, enough with this wall of text, have fun playing!

Oh and I also wanted to bring attention to 2 other players with the same idea:

and

I swear I missed their posts on reddit the first time I searched for the parkour map. Only now, that I am uploading this, I have stumbled upon their posts. So, if you're reading this - sorry for kinda stealing the limelight :/

And, one last thing (I swear): As you can see from my username, I do not plan to upload anything else on this account, this is my first and probably will be my last upload on PMC

2 Update Logs

Update (31.07.2020) : by Throw_Away_Account 07/31/2020 3:30:20 amJul 31st, 2020

*HUGE UPDATE*

Added a *NEW* checkpoint system
Added a timer
Added a "Gui" like the one on the realms
=> You can now toggle between 3 Modes: Speedrun, Event and Casual!
Fixed some more jumps

In case there is a command block expert reading this:
Sorry for my amateurish use of command blocks. I still don't fully comprehend the command block syntax and what command blocks are capable of/where its restrictions lie. I am very proud that it is running, this is more than enough. If you want to optimize the setup, go ahead. I structured the code in a very modular way: Click detection/ setting the gui (hotbar)/ checkpoint(stage) system/ a little bit of boolean logic and some other small stuff

Question: I accidentally deleted these carpets used to skip sections when I rebuilt some parts of the maps in creative. Now even if I delete the world and create a new one the carpets are still gone. Any idea what I can do?

What do you mean you "deleted these carpets"?

Either way you probably messed up the command blocks so that nothing works anymore. Mind the command blocks when moving stuff, you have to copy them too. Additionally, if you want to maintain the teleporting system, you have to change the coordinates contained in those command block that you move. These commands ensure correct player teleportation as well as correct firework location. Lastly, in order for section skipping to continue working, you also need to change the teleportation coordinates in the main command blocks section (under the final tower). There is a suspiciously long chain of command blocks with wooden signs above ranging from 0 to 23 containing all section coordinates; that's what you need to look out for.

If you are using WorldEdit, something I noticed is that the purple command blocks stop working when I copy/paste them. So every time I move a purple command block, I make sure to manually activate them afterwards.

I mean they are not in my inventory anymore bc I filled them with build blocks or sth. how do i get them back? Even if I redownload the map they are still gone so it must be sth in my player data that god knows why gets transferred to the new download as well.

Don't worry, as far as I know you can't destroy anything. In the worst case you either added a superfluous folder somewhere or you actually managed to add the map to your singleplayer worlds, however because you were in the wrong minecraft version it would generate a vanilla world instead of the map you wanted to play.

You download the map by clicking the download button.
When the download completes, you have a ".zip file" containing the map.
So, you first need to extract the save folder from the .zip file.
You should then get a folder named "Championship Parkour"
That folder you can then add to your singleplayer worlds (if you don't know how this works just google it, basically you find whereever you installed minecraft, locate the saves folder and cut paste the map in there)

Thank you for being so loyal to my version of the Minecraft Championship parkour :)

Honestly, I only intended to have the map being a copy of the 6th Minecraft Championship. I don't know how much longer this event will exist so I don't really want to become the person who has all the different MCC Parkour Warrior maps, considering Noxcrew changes sections quite frequently.

If there is enough demand (in that case please upvote @FizBueX's comment), I might reconsider my position.

As for MCC 8, only 3 sections have seen major revamps, with an additional 2 or more minor changes to some jumps here and there. So for the time being, you could also try to rebuild them yourself! As far as I know, all the islands are still correct, so you would only need to change the parkour bits. That shouldn't take longer than 30mins to do :)
Here is a video of someone else who applied the changes themselves:
