Renovated Victorian House in Modern - Ocean Drive

Nice concept, I don't see many cool modern concepts these days.

I do not think the word "Victorian" would even be appropriate in the title, as most of the style has almost disappeared. Although I do see that the house was maybe once Victorian and then renovated, it has removed almost all of the features that make this “Victorian” house gone. Modern and Victorian styles are almost opposite of each other, Modern cooperates openness and simplicity unlike the Victorian which prefer close off rooms and are usually highly detailed (One of the few reasons why they were not popular as they had too much detail).


Another point is that your build also lacks a Japanese garden that you have so labeled. Of course I am limited to only pictures from afar and what I perceive is what looks to be a more western influenced garden than anything else, as everything is very organized and the structure of the garden represents that of a garden I would see in a typical European or American home.


However, I admire you build, especially managing to skillfully have flow through your build with the main house (made of white harden clay I’m guessing) and the dark wooden component. The use of the iron bars is also very inspiring and I will probably be using that for my own builds. This building is very carefully proportioned, although the garage could be slightly bigger, however this is a matter of opinion.
