Chrono's plot takes place in a world cut off by the mysterious "Korinthiav Incident", a catastrophic event that triggered a series of events that changed human history forever. In the city of Korinthiav, a scientific experiment led by the renowned Dr. Alexander Grayson results in a Quantum Chrono Warp, opening a rift in space-time. This prompts the alien invasion of the Homo Invadens Synthetica, who bring the human race under their control in a matter of weeks.
