The first class of frigates commissioned into the Normanland Navy as well as the second-largest class at the time, the Revolver-class frigates were former Hefei-class destroyers of the Harbin Navy that were passed on to Normanland when the latter split from Harbin in 1946. Six were transferred (the ship depicted being NDF-NS Revolver FF-0101).

Of the six, two were sunk in combat.
-NDF-NS John L. Powers (FF-0104) suffered multiple rocket strikes from Fireclaw F4U-6 Corsairs and exploded due to a magazine detonation. (April, 1949)
-NDF-NS Jason Hunter (FF-0102) exploded in Arkhalis Island Naval Base after striking a mine that had been placed by Fireclaw midget submarines the night before. (December, 1954)

After 30 years of service, the four surviving ships were decommissioned in 1976. NDF-NS Revolver is the last remaining ship, a housing complex in Geelong.
