As the Royal Navy advanced further into the territories of Janportus and the Silver Empire, a new technology threatened to turn the tides of warfare. A flotilla of destroyers reported fighter aircraft closing in. Believing them to be a minimal threat as fire charge guns were no threat to a fully armored warship, they prepared to engage in case they were meaning to ram the vessels. However, the destroyers came under torpedo attack after the airskiffs launched a spread of torpedoes at the vessels. Before this, the only fighter aircraft capable of defeating an armored warship like a destroyer were cannon skiffs that wielded a cannon. But these airskiffs were slow and easy targets for AA. Quickly shot down before they were able to punch a hole in the armor of an airship. The introduction of fighter launched torpedoes changed this. The lightweight torpedoes allowed fighters to penetrate the armor of a warship while minimally affecting the speed of the airskiff compared to a large artillery piece. The resulting torpedo airskiffs were faster and more agile and deadlier to the Royal Navy destroyers or even the Behemoths.
An immediate meeting was called in order to review the changing situation of the war. The squadron of torpedo bombers sent by Janportus was destroyed in the encounter but not before sinking two out of three destroyers and critically damaging the third. While the speed of the torpedo bombers was much greater than that of the traditional cannon skiffs, they were slower than those of Janportus's purpose-built air superiority fighters. Janportus air superiority fighter technologies were common around the world as cheap escort aircraft often purchased by coffin ship captains. The Royal Navy realizing the potential of torpedo skiffs purchased these air superiority aircraft second-hand to reverse engineer them for use as protection against torpedo bombers. The resulting air superiority fighter was faster and more agile than those of the Janportus torpedo bombers and could break up a formation before it could directly engage a warship.

The airskiff is based on a recreation of the Janportus Defense Force Air Superiority Fighter design by DoctorEckener for the Airship Pirates Origins series. It uses a Redstone torch clock in order to achieve automatic fire from the two fire charge dispensers.

Movecraft Compatibility
All weapons on the ship function without the Movecraft plugin as they're Redstone-based. However, if you wish to rotate the turrets and move the ship around, you need the Movecraft plugin.
