About the Map:  
Northaven was named for it's belief in ancient folklore that the island was created as haven for Gjallic descendents by mythical gods. Old antiquarian collections mention that the island is far from any recognizable land mass and has resources so easilly accessible that generations upon generations of Gjallic kin could live here. Although it was never inhabited by settlers, the island is still revered as the haven for the Gjallic people.

The island itself experiences semi-warm summers and fridged winters. During the summer seasons, the terrain is lush and the several species of plants and trees flourish; during the winter, Northaven seems like a barren and frozen wasteland where only the dorment pines and connifer trees break the ground. Dense, packed layers of ice line the steeper slopes of the mountains covering the bright granite that reflects sunlight in the summer.

The map gallery contains several images of my favorite features. This is map was rendered in World Machine and finalized in World Painter. There are two included maps in the download, the Summer version and the Winter version of Northaven.
