I love this basilica! I'm an architecture student by the way and this is among the top of my list of places I wish to visit. Looks like you finished construction ahead of the real deal xD. I'm doing the same thing with one of my current projects (not on PMC) in which I'm completing the unfinished yet largest cathedral in the United States, where I'm from.

This building required more time for me than anyone else. But what a beautiful architecture. Did you see interior? The light shines from everywhere :D What is the unfished Cathedral in USA?
Yes I can imagine this took extra time, it's so intricate! And the interior is amazing! You went above and beyond to bring its glory to MC! The cathedral i mentioned earlier is the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in NYC. It looks strange with no towers or transcepts, but my project will give it much deserved love :D

I didn't know the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in NYC and I like to know the story of any building. There's a story behind every building 😉
In the late 19th century, a huge contest was held for plans of the new cathedral, and when one was finalized, the cornerstone was layed in 1892. The crossing, sanctuary, and chapels radiating around it were built in the Byzantine-Romanesque style, but the original architect was dismissed in the early 20th century. The remainder of the cathedral was to be complete in the Neo-Gothic style, this includes the nave. Over a century later, and the 3 towers (one above the crossing and two on the west front) along with the transept were never finished. Lack of interest and funding halted any construction since the '90s. There was a fire in the unfinished north transept, which damaged the gift shop and destroyed valuable tapestries. In 2008, the cathedral leased some of its land for a glass apartment tower, and more recently, another lease for 99 years. This one allowed two residential towers to be built right along the north side of the cathedral, but at least they earn $3 million per year, which could be used for completing construction! Sadly, the cathedral is not designated a NYC landmark, which might potentially put it at risk for demolition for further development.

You know what I mean by story, that's what I like to heard uh... or read 😁 The problem with Megalopolises is the difficulty in bringing together different styles of buildings, different heights and times. Amateur of futuristic movies, younger I would have demolished all the old buildings to build only building with pure lines. Now older, I appreciate the marriage of times and respect any architectural form 😏
It makes sense what you say :) I personally prefer the classical/traditional forms of architecture, but like you said earlier, I embrace all styles as long as it is pleasing to the eye

The first time I saw The Louvre Pyramid (not in real life) I thought the result was frightful. I think it takes a while before accepting the marriage of several styles, and it can not please everyone. Now I really appreciate it. I think this is the same architect as John Hancock building in Boston.
I love the Louvre Pyramid! I think it compliments the site nicely, and yes, I.M. Pei is the architect who also designed John Hancock, Boston. He also designed a couple buildings in Dallas, like Fountain Place and the city hall. Also many well-known skyscrapers around the world! He's one of my favorite architects...I did a project about him in my first year of architecture school xD

Cool ...I often thought to add the Louvre Pyramid on my map, but it has already been done several times ...and really well done. But, I never saw the John Hancock building, Boston in Minecraft 😉
I went to this just last week and it is almost as breath taking as in real life ( of course minecraft limits things).
Though I do Have a question. Does it contain the museum under it?( I cant down load cause if I do my computer starts to lag)

There are only 4 or 5 blocks height underground, so impossible to build ;) I don't make any details, I choose and retain the most important ...like the rotating stairs, so beautiful :D
I wish you could have, it contains the tomb of Gaudi, which I think is an important detail.

Sorry, that's maybe an important detail for you, but not for the rest of the world ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Gaudi is the architect who designed the familia. and another thing, what about the souvenir shop built on the side of the familia.

I'm preparing video of World of Worlds 2.9. This huge map already contains buildings of more than 80 cities, and will include Sagrada Familia Basilica.
Map and video should be release in few hours ...maybe few days ^_-
I try to put as much energy into building as making videos :D
Thanks can't wait but do u know how to download for ps4

I only manage PC format, but anyone can convert my map if you give me credit "Map created by Zeemo". To convert use CARNAGE or oPryzLP converter. I'm not sure that converted map include all, I think it's too huge.

The average minecrafter usually spends rather too less time with their projects then too much. But good research and thinking about possiblities to bring details of a build into minecraft is what makes it so enjoyable at the end. That's why I love your projects - one can see you obviously put a lot of effort into each of your builds.
whoa thats nice! as always ;)

Ya i was insde is huge!
From the beginning i thought it looked weard, but after knowing all stuff about it I Thinks its awesome!

Exactly, at first glance, we find that the architecture is weird and very heavy. Then, we recognize the masterpiece ^_^

from the inside it didn"t seem heavy to me, quite possibly even lighter than purely gothic cathedrals, thanks to the angled pillars and less traditional ornamentation
still my favourite is Casa Batllo, designed through to every detail

Oh, it seems like a misunderstanding. I gave you the post url is my friend's works, I think you can refer to it. I only built a Cathedral before. (The Great VotMaf Cathedral)

And I built the building almost no interior decoration, maybe I'm too lazy LOL.
