This is a recreation of the west district of Saguaro National Park in Arizona (and the adjacent Tucson Mountain Park to the south) using WorldPainter and heightmap data. Trails and roads were hand-painted on the map using WorldPainter, and significant structures in Saguaro NP such as the Red Hills Visitor Center were built afterwards.

Saguaro National Park is located near Tucson, Arizona. It is known for its large expanses of the iconic saguaro cacti, though more than two dozen species of cacti can be found in the park. This region of the park, the Tucson Mountain District, was first protected by President John F. Kennedy in 1961, and was designated as a national park in 1994.
