This is not 1:1 scale replica of real Santa Maria ship sailed by Columbus. Drawings and original blueprints of the ships of Columbus does not exist. This is made of carrack blueprint and this bigger than original Santa Maria ship was. Some details like cannons are added by me to make it more detailed.

Shortened story behind the Santa Maria ship
Santa Maria ship was one of three ships in first voyage of Christopher Columbus. The other ships of the Columbus expedition were La Niña and La Pinta.
Voyage started from south-western Spanish on the evening of 3 August 1492. Journey aiming was to find a westward passage to Asia.

Known statistics of real Santa Maria
Length of Santa Maria doesn't have exact information. Lenght of ship according to different sources 18-36 meters long.
The Santa Maria had three masts, each with one large sail. The foresail and mainsail were square. Also small topsail on the mainmast above the mainsail. The sail in rear mast was a triangular sail known as 'a lateen'. (look picture) And in addition square sail on the bowsprit.
