I have started to make a 1:1 scale replica of the Saturn V Rocket. It is the largest rocket ever made and sent the US to space for the first time. Its my favourite rocket and i decided to make it in minecraft. So far i have completed the:
And started on the 1st stage.
S and A out of USA are done!
Started on the fins at the bottom!

All placed by hand with materiels from InvEdit.

Any constructive critisicm will be gladly taken!

When i finish it i will provide a world save.
Progress: 100% Complete

Update #4 : 05/09/2011 3:42:06 am5/09/11

All done! Made an interior. Its a bit squished seeing as i hit the height limit. Nonetheless its huge and looks alot like a saturn v!

Update #3 : 05/08/2011 5:45:30 am5/08/11

USA flags done! I have placed it down to bedrock so now i can finish it without worrying about bedrock! Save file wont be updated till middle stage is complete.

Update #2 : 05/08/2011 4:18:38 am5/08/11

Lower stage done and dusted. Started working on the middle stage. 4 blocks away from height barrier!

Adding a world save. Its not done but you can get a feel of the magnitude of this thing!

Update #1 : 05/08/2011 3:57:45 am5/08/11

Now ive finished the bottom fins and USA is complete! Time to work on doing the black top bit before the lower stage is done! Almost at height barrier. Probably will drop it to bedrock so that it all fits! =D

The rocket's top looks strange somehow. 1.8 allows u to build even higher. U realy should try to continue with saturn 5 by rebuilding the top....

Damn you beat me too it. But I cheer you on like gene and the rest of mission control... "GO GO GO". Cannot wait to see it done. Btw your going to need to drop that to bedrock I think, but you can do stages!

haha thanks! but i just realised that it might be slightly squeezed up the top as ive finished the lower stage and its already at height limit! Ill drop it to bedrock and we shall see! (Also i realised that it might be a bit TOO large! More like 1 1.5:1 scale...)
