Well hello there and welcome to Minecraft School! Ms. Creeper has been expecting you!
Today's lesson is about Newton's 3 laws of motion! Let's get started!
Law #1: A body in motion, stays in motion; and a body at rest, stays at rest unless acted upon by another force.
Look up at the first two lesson pictures. Here is an explanation of the law:
The cart is at rest when it is at the top of the hill. It would stay at rest forever unless something happened to it. When the piston pushes the cart, it starts moving and would continue moving forever if I had not placed a block at the end.
Law #2: The acceleration a of a body is parallel and directly proportional to the net force F acting on the body, is in the direction of the net force, and is inversely proportional to the mass m of the body, i.e., F = ma.
To put this law simply, an object that exerts more force than another object will move faster than that of the other object. Look up at my third picture. The cart with the furnace moves faster than the empty cart because it weighs more. So since the cart with the furnace exerts more force, it reaches the bottom faster than the empty cart.
Law #3: For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.
This law states that there is always more than one force going on. Look at the final three pictures above. When the cart hits the wall, it is bounced back. This is because not only does the carts speed have force, but so does the wooden block. That block actually pushes back with its own small force. If it did not have this force, the block would collapse!
Thank you for coming to class today, see you real soon!

Additional Notes

Hi guys, I am starting a school in Minecraft series. This is where I go and explain real world concepts, just by using Minecraft. If you would like to have me explain anything more, please diamond and comment what you want me to teach. I will teach in any subject!
