Hello, I found your map on minecraftmaps but I figured I'd give feedback here, since the comment system on minecraftmaps kinda sucks (lol).

So, I'll make it pretty simple to read, I'll point out the +'s and -'s and sometimes give some notes on them. First off, I'm a big fan of the Serious Sam games, so I was pretty intrigued by the premise of this when I saw it, and I can compare it to the real franchise.

Overall, pretty good job! I was sceptical at first, since most maps kinda suck, people don't really know what they're doing, it's very confusing, makes no sense or is just a general chore to play since most people have no idea how game design makes a map fun. You however, do know, map was clear, enjoyable from start to finish, you tried a couple different mechanics and it was cool to see how creatively you imitated some of the iconic Serious Sam enemies (more on them later). Also I played with Optifine + Shaders

Cool resource pack (nice sound edits, ok looking)
Clear architectonic design
Gameplay mere-identical to the Serious Sam games (very Serious Sam-esque pickups, layouts, ideas...)
Clear paths, not confusing design, always knew where to go/what to do
Cool enemy designs (some of them could be improved, more on that in the -'s section)
Nice secrets! (I found the Speedy boots, those made everything much easier and more fun!)

Kleer Skeletons could be improved (take out their weapon, it's easy to do, Kleer don't carry around swords)
Music should be way longer and looped (you can just edit it in whatever editing software you use to loop it for like 15+ mins, and then just play it as a music disc record, it then doesn't lag and plays for long)
-> However the issue above is easily fixed by just playing a Serious Sam OST in the background by yourself, which I did
You can get rid of mobs burning by just putting them an invisible helmet (make an invisible helmet model, put it on the mob and they won't burn)
Some item drops are not named for whatever reason (probably oversight?)
The Colt texture is a little wonky, but ok-ish

Overall, really good job! I was pleasantly surprised by the map, you know how to make the map enjoyable and not confusing, and it was very reminiscent of the Serious Sam games, so good job on that aswell. Definitely continue because you have the base ideas and design there, you can just improve from this point! So good luck.

Also, a question, how did you spawn items as drops? (not scattered in chests)

Wow thanks for this review!
I try to fix everything except burning npcs cuz helmets always broke by sun in 1.12
Im using mcstacker to put floating items.
I plan to make Aztec and medieval encounters too! ;)

MCStacker huh? I'll look into it, does it work through the summon command or how does the command to spawn the floating items look?

Shouldn't it then work by putting unbreakable helmets on them? Just enabling the Unbreakable tag on their helmets? I'm pretty sure that should be possible in 1.12.

And then I hope you'll try to put my suggestions into practice in the next encounters!
