Hello everyone!

I am back again with my latest completed modpack map. This time I played Awakening - Sky of Diamonds version 1.18.0. Again I have a companion imgur album that gives a full world tour and contains a narrative, story like, explanation of the images. I wasn't sure about trying to do it that way, so feel free to let me know if you like that or if you just want me to give the information about the images without the story elements.

This modpack focuses on a very easy going, non-grindy approach to the mods and progression. There are loopholes and they are there intentionally, if you want to use them. So that means that you can finish the pack extremely quickly, or try to stretch it out as long as you like. I fell somewhat in the middle, playing the pack over a 2 month period and delaying the use of EMC until near the very end. I held off making and using the Tome of Knowledge until the very last moment I could in the quest progression.

I was not able to achieve 100% completion, but came very close. I could not find the hidden volumes for Minecraft Comes Alive and ended up forcing the quest completion for it at the very end.

I used a lot more elements from other maps and schematics this time. I initially started with the standard dirt, grass and stone platform approach but rapidly grew unhappy with that. I did not want the base to turn out to be a flat skybase sprawl. Since the pack is not grindy, its not necessary to set up a lot of long term automation so I built smaller areas for different purposes, mixing whatever mods I need to accomplish the goal the area was trying to satisfy. There are more details about that in the album walkthrough on imgur.

I will say completely up front that inspiration was an issue for me this time. I had a very hard time trying to determine how and what to build. I mostly just had an idea of what I did not want it to look like. Therefore I heavily relied on other resources and mixed them together to arrive at my end result. I want to give appropriate credit to all those resources and creative builders that are so much better than I am currently.

Credits for elements used:

Polaris Base, creation #7353 - The platforms are taken from this schematic and arranged as a skybase rather than a floating sea base, which I think was the initial intention.

10+ End portals Minecraft Map - My end portal and the holder for the Draconic Evolution energy collector were taken from here.

Space Station Minecraft Map - The enclosures on the larger platforms like the control room and the agriculture area were taken from one of the outlying buildings in this map. I really like the entire layout of this map. I think it would make a great modded Minecraft base on its own.

Mr Wizz's Tree Pack v1.6 [260+ Schematics] Custom Trees of All Sorts and Much More! Minecraft Map - Used some custom trees from this pack.

Pam's/Blockheads Kitchen. Add on to my previous Pam's 64x plot farm : 9x9 - The kitchen cabin used in the farm biosphere came from here. Howester84 is an awesome builder and shares a large number of creations with everyone via Building Gadgets templates.

PATHWAYS ONE-CHUNK NATURE PLOTS 1-20, creation #13898 - Elements in the farming/nature biosphere came from these schematics.

Eragh's fancy House : 9x9 - I used this in the Minecraft Comes Alive village as a home for the family quest. This was mostly just laziness at this point and not wanting to change gears mentally out of a more futuristic building style from the main base to be honest.

Finally, I took a lot of inspiration from the YouTube series by SystemCollapse for elements like the mob/wither farm and approach to resource chickens. Although he took a much quicker route than I did, I highly recommend watching the playthrough if you want to get some ideas on how to approach the pack.

To use the world download, copy it to your saves directory and uncompress it. You can also copy it to a server if you wish. I did use a local server to run the pack. You should use version 1.18.0 of the pack to avoid issues when loading the world. The version of the pack did not change during the time I was playing so you should have have any issues with loading it if you are on the correct pack version. You may spawn on a default island in a different part of the world and need to teleport/fly to the base. The coordinates are: x: -966, z: -1020, y: 110
