Mania.
It's a powerful motivator. You feel it sometimes, that sense that something great, something awesome, something totally unique, something the world hasn't seen before is just at your fingertips. You can be the next big thing, you have it all inside you, all you have to do is execute the divine plan ordained to you at 3am on your bed when you've been trying to sleep.

For a 2-month period of unemployment and easy-going college courses I built half of downtown Duluth. I averaged three highly rendered buildings a day as I poorly balanced courses (don't worry, they were easy, A+), a mediocre social life, and basic health. When it was over, I had completed a little under half of commercial downtown Duluth, that being from North 4th Avenue East to North 7th Avenue West, that's 22 blocks split between either side of Superior Street.

Though it was undoubtedly unhealthy, I cannot be unhappy with the results. It is by far my most detailed, most alive, most complete city to date. Gary, Indiana is an amateurs take on Duluth. Lapusia is a pathetic imitation of a city compared to Duluth. I am satisfied with where the project is and wish to take it even further. Immediately after the wave of mania concluded I started a blog (with only one post) discussing various ideas I had for just how I could do that. And well, if you want to know how you can just read it here. But that was 8 months ago, and none of those ideas are yet to be implemented.

You don't... yet.

Plans are to release the map initially for $0.99. This will be version 1.0. Each significant update will raise the price by $1.00, but if you already bought the map, you will get the update for free. Small updates will be signified by a change in the tenth decimal place, for example, 1.1, 1.2, and 1.3. Even tinier updates, if for some reason I decide there's a need for one, will be signified by a change in the hundredth, for example, 1.1.1, 1.2.2, and 1.3.7.
Will Duluth be worth your money? Yes, definitely. The map is huge (already 12gb in size), and with the addition of 1.5:1 interiors will be perfect for roleplay, filming, zombie maps, what have you.
