Prior is the name (brand) under which department stores in the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic were operated and built. This building/brand is a symbol of the normalization era.
I was inspired in department store Prior Most.

I can see a little bit of Walmart and other big box stores in this building. I am sure the Walton's would love being bought by the US government if the country ever went the socialist route lol.

Walmart was founded in 60´s, right? Like as Prior. Prior was supposed to be the most luxurious business in the Czechoslovakia, so the architects were quite inspired by Western trends.

You're right, Walmart was founded in the 1960s. It's interesting to see how far western influence reached, even during the socialist era.
