Compatibility with New 1.18 World Features : by Mighty Andross 64 01/14/2022 2:29:50 pmJan 14th

Due to the new update, a lot of my custom worlds generated unwanted bedrock in the unloaded chunks, making scenery look rather unsightly. However, with help from a fellow MC user, I can now build my worlds in a new void template made specifically for 1.18 via modding tools so that no bedrock will generate anywhere in the world. Some of my past work tho might still have the bedrock generate outside the unloaded areas, but leave the worlds themselves unaffected, so just a heads up if you try my older stuff.

But yeah, now work can resume on the project, so we are back in business:)

By any chance, do you think it's possible for this to be playable/ported to Java Edition in some way?

It really means a lot to hear this and I appreciate your question. Truth is, Ive run into difficulties porting previous projects to Java. Stuff like the blocks and textures will go over easily, but the skyboxes, music, etc require different methods to even work and ot can become quite the hassle when stuff breaks and you dont know how to fix it. Reason I partially make more stuff in Bedrock is due to being more easily able to edit some things like the sky and stuff without the use of outside mods. Porting isnt exactly my specialty either lol.

Ive had people volunteer to help me port stuff who have a pretty gud knowledge on how its done, only one problem: they would lack dedication and would silently quit the projects only for me to find out months later they werent working on anything. As a result it would leave me stuck to figure things out or ultimately have to cancel port jobs, like my Mario 64 build that at one time was supposed to get a port, but my guy quit and never told me lol.

As such, I havent trusted to hire anyone to help me port anything due to past reputations of people that promised to help finish previous ports. Lol It would be a miracle to have some porters who'd be interested in helping me to get this stuff to Java tho. Just looking for such people hasnt worked up till now. Hopefully some kind soul will volunteer his or her time to something like this so others can enjoy my projects.

Believe me, Ive gotten many requests to have these ported to Java over the years and hoping soon this can happen. Thank you for your interest in this and promise to keep you guys updated if I find a gud Java porter. Hope ya have a gud week and thank you for your feedback. Sorry for my long explanation lol.

Now that Ive moved, Im gradually working back into these projects. Debating if I should include additional Zones from the likes of Knuckles Chaotix etc. Gathering ideas before I go full blast into this any farther. Apologies for the delays, ya know, moving, unpacking, all that stuff. XD Also, wondering if I should make Past, Present, and Future Zone versions in the Sonic CD part of the adventure game? Decisions...

Hello there. Nice to meet you. I saw your request. The project is still far from finished as I still have many more Zone textures to convert to more packs etc. Id love to have the project finished sooner, but I cant release it yet as its not even done. I appreciate your eagerness tho, so just know that Im trying my hardest to get these done so you guys can play them. I usually release stuff after they are finished and once I find any bugs etc. Still have lots to fix and work on. I apologize for the wait, but it'll be worth it, trust me;)

Yeah, sorry bout that. I have Java, but really only use it for stuff like MCedit, etc and then convert map stuff. Lol The cubemaps also need optifine to work on Java, while on Bedrock, the cubemaps are contained in a folder one can easily edit. Lol The textures could be ported over to Java tho, but I dont have lots of time on hand to do that.
