I used WorldMachine and WorldPainter to make this map

I use the Conquest Texture Pack + Optifine in minecraft 1.7.10 for a lot of unique textures. Get them all in one here:

If you like my maps, I own a server where you can play with others on them! It has it's own story 3 years in the making!
Here is the Website: www.northernentripia.enjin.com

I was inspired to create this map because of a new Hardcore Role-play branch we are developing for my server. My server has been following a Fantasy-Story for almost 4 years now, and we've gone on and off as a Role-play server. Now, we're starting somewhat of a server network, with different playable branches. One of those branches is Hardcore Role-play. This was originally a test at Scottish Highlands as one of our hardcore Role-play factions will be based off of late Medieval Scotland. It turned out so good that I may or may not be using this map for my server! I decided to share it with you all before we built anything on it. Have fun exploring it if you do download it! There are interesting Caverns underground too! Ores included! Please give me credit if you use this map publicly.

Hi! Amazing looking map!
Upon loading it up, I get holes everywhere though, I tried redownloading it. It looks to be holes wherever coarse dirt is supposed to go, heard from anyone else or what am I doing wrong? Im loading it in 1.10.2

Cheers!

I am very interested in using this map in a version above 1.7.10. If anyone knows how Iskall updated the map without getting holes everywhere please let me know!

Confirmed by Oggy_Oggy, Hermit Quest builder, all stone variants were replaced with regular stone in MC Edit. Can't believe I didnt think of this; I wanted to post this for anyone in a similar situation.

How does this work? Is there a specific way to select all the variants?

That is because this map is made specifically using a lot of Metadatas from the Conquest Resrouce Pack. Minecraft removed these metadatas after 1.7.10, so that's why they are disappearing. This map is meant to be played in 1.7.10!
Ahha. A scotland map! Nice, good job. :)

There is only missing a castle ruin °<°, well done
Very very nice. Do you reckon you could give me some insight into the WM-file? I would love to learn more. Also, how did you do those waterplants?

The Water plants are a result of, I believe, the Better Foliage mod which comes with the Ravand Launcher combined with just the right biomes. What do you want to know about the WM file?
A general look if that's possible? If you don't mind ofcourse. Just so I can pick things apart and learn the software better myself ^^
Also, I will look into the mod. Cheers!
Back at it again!
