The New Zealandis began life as a ship called Fortune for an unknown shipping line based in mexico, and was bought by Chandris following the liquidation of said company. After Minor refits she served as the New Zealandis, a 30,000 ton efficient ship that was a semi-successful ship, operating only in the Aegean Sea or occasionally in the Red Sea. Following an Uneventful life, she was sold to the Breakers in 1988, and halfway through the tow grounded near the Maldives, but was refloated later and scrapped in Pakistan.
