SS Stern über Afrika
Built around 1910 at the Friedrichswerke in the free state of Friedrichsburg she was the private Yacht of the Wurst Line
she sailed mostly around the former German colonies , she even visited the infamous Kaiser Wilhelms Land
However due to Friedrichsburg having no Colonies she came into conflict with many other ships
on one occasion she even opend fire at an little trawler for no apparent reason
When the first world war started she was harboured in Deutsch Südwestafrika
when her way back trip started around 3 Hours later an large explosion was heard all over the Colonies
It is unknown if it came from the yacht however she was never found again some argue she was attacked by an warship and her ammunition exploded
the Yacht owner was startled he gave a new Yacht into commission but due to the war she was layed up only after the war
Before her end she was noted to have several technical difficulties including issues with the engine and boilers she also had problems with her Rudder however that was fixed by 1913
