Well, it's been 8 months but don't worry, I'm back ;). Today I present to you the 3-funneled steam ship 'SS Weser'.
She was constructed by the Friedrichswerke in the free-state of Friedrichsburg within 2 years, from 1876-1878, and was named after the north-german river Weser. She was the first ship built for the 'Königlich Hannoverscher Seedienst' (Royal Hanoveranian Line) after it's refounding in 1874 and sailed the traditional route between Emden and New York, together with her sister, the 'SS Ems'. Beeing fairly big for a german ship of the time the owners had trouble filling her up initially, but as 1880 arrived growing passenger numbers started to make the ship profitable.
With not much happening on that route the Weser was, in 1890, pulled from the North Atlantic and put on the route towards Asia where she successfully transported men and cargo for another 15 years.
She was then sold back to the Friedrichswerke for usage as a test vessel where she stayed until WW1 broke out when she got her last role as the Seaplane tender "Wotan". Badly damaged by a British cruiser in 1915, it was decided to scrap her as soon as possible for the war effort.
!NOTE! This ship, along with it's story is fully custom.

I hope you'll like the ship! ;D
