Summer's Prairie [1000 x 1000 Custom Terrain]

"Not a breath of air stirred over the free and open prairie; the clouds were like light piles of cotton; and where the blue sky was visible, it wore a hazy and languid aspect."

Summer's Prairie is one of the first Savannah maps I've ever made, and I'm very pleased with how it turned out. Walking along the grasslands in the shadow of the great mountains is an atmospheric and unique experience - very like how I'd imagine walking the African plains would be. I've heavily focused on atmosphere this time around, I really wanted to make the Savannah feel alive and fertile, with the tarn on the mountain really being a refreshing and cooling sight after walking around for a long time in the intense heat of the plains. Like I've said, I'm pleased with how this map turns out - Savannahs are very fun terrains to do!
