Stone of the Red variety is a series I created to show off some Redstone devices I find to be cool, interesting, or just plain hilarious. I hope you will view this if you're already a Redstone wizard, or if you're completely new to the concept so you can learn a little from it. I will be uploading to it as frequently as I can, so remember to fight the red mainstreamers by Subscribing(a diamond wouldn't hurt either, right?).

Today's Subject Will Be...

A maximally accurate(to the tick) race win detector with an automatic reset. What this means is that when a race occurs, this can be built at the end to accurately determine who is the winner for super tight matches. Once the winner had been determined, the machine will automatically reset itself once the Minecart is destroyed or the Slime Ball removed from the chest. This can be applied to human races by using Pressure Plates or Trip Wires as well. To see it in action, place the Slime Ball into the Dispenser and place your Minecart on the Powered Rail in the back(then get in it). Then simply click the Button and watch it work(this shows the Hopper side winning). If YOU want to win, then do the same thing, but start your Minecart on the more frontal Powered Rail and click the Button.

*PICTURES AREN'T ENOUGH TO GET THE FULL EXPERIENCE OF THE ABOVE MACHINE, PLEASE CONSIDER DOWNLOADING IT FOR ME*

Additional Notes

I got this idea from a video I saw a long time ago, which was exactly the same as this, but you had to replace Redstone, Pistons, and Blocks after every use of that older/unrefined version. This new one I created brings total ease for detection, and the only slightly difficult Redstoning comes from the Automatic Reset(so you could make it yourself). This reset is NOT needed as the Manual Reset(also included in the map) works just as well if not better.

Also, if the Automatic Reset doesn't work, it means you left the Slime Ball in the Chest for too long. Click the Manual reset on the Hopper side to reset and continue. Please notify me of any problems you may find in the comments below, thank you!

The main reasons I made this series:
1) To entertain all the downloaders with something applicable by Redstone 2) To allow non-redstoners to understand more about Redstone and it's uses 3) To prove I do have SOME Redstone knowledge =P 4) To give something to the public that they can use in their daily Minecrafting
If you notice that last one, and with that said, OF COURSE YOU CAN USE IT! Go ahead and make a whole project that's a race if you want and stick this at the end. The Automatic Reset was really unrefined in this version just because I wasn't even planning on using it in the first place and had little time, but you really don't need that part at all. So thank you for the diamond and have a nice day.
